Hi, I’m Helen, author and editor of romance and women’s fiction. I came to editing through a love of writing. My first short story was published as part of The Mistletoe Mixtape anthology in October 2022. Since then, I have had two romance novels published by Allison & Busby in November.

On my writing journey, I discovered that, for me, editing was as exciting as the writing process itself.

I am fully trained in copy editing, proofreading, developmental editing and manuscript assessment and continue to invest time in professional development as I work my way through the CIEP (Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading) and The Publishing Training Centre fiction editing courses. I am currently a member of CIEP and the RNA (Romantic Novelists’ Association) and specialise in editing long and short form romantic fiction and women’s fiction.

I was a writer first, which means I know what it is to be edited and how it feels to have work critiqued. I will treat your manuscript with honesty and respect (I know how many hours and how much of yourself you’ve put into it!) – and most of all, I will really enjoy reading it! Romance, after all, is what I love!
